The book is a biography of Rei Kawakubo, artfully narrating her life journey, from her early days working at a textile factory as a fabric manufacturer to her encounters with others and the creation of her groundbreaking fashion brand, Comme Des Garcons. Each chapter of her life is depicted through textiles and unconventional elements, mirroring her relentless challenge to the status quo of art. Drawing inspiration from this, the editorial design defies traditional book standards by pushing the limits. My objective was to allow readers to perceive her world through her unique artistic perspective in a multi-sensory experience that portrays her journey of breaking boundaries and redefining the concept of beauty, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
